“The classes are like a trip to another country; they transport us to another region/neighborhood of the city with equal parts of the class focusing on the history of the area and a focus on tradition of the foods.”
-Student
“The culture and history are important elements of the class and I always want to hop on the bus or el and go to that neighborhood to learn more about it and sample more of that food when the class ends!”

This is by far the most beautiful photo shot. The mum, the colors in the tablecloth and the French plates make it nothing more than a still life in a museum. Best of all, the classic country mug adds just the welcome to open the lovely cake to everyone. Love it! Kudos to the author / designer and the photographer!

“I learned so much in the basics class - I made Mother’s Day dinner for my mother-in-law and that night she called my own mother to tell her I’d finally learned how to cook!”
-Student
“Our ‘mobile classroom’ to and from the neighborhood was simply fabulous. The street food, along with the stories shared, was inspiring.”
-Tour Guest
“I want to tell you how much I enjoyed and appreciated the tour. I think about the rich history of the area and I feel like I learned so much that day. We pass by areas thousands of times without really looking at them. The experience left me wanting to do more of these.“
